How can I help you?

Parents come to homeschooling for many different reasons. I’ve outlined four common drivers that I have encountered and helped parents think through.

For the new homeschool parent of a young child

What an exciting journey lies ahead of you! I can listen to your concerns, help you dial into developmentally appropriate goals for the early years, and provide routines and book suggestions (for you and your child) that work to make life easier.

For the new homeschool parent coming from an institution

You knew you were always responsible for your children’s education, but whoa, homeschooling takes this to a whole new level! Being able to talk to an experienced homeschooler is invaluable.

I help parents:

  • Understand the differences between schooling, teaching and learning.
  • Identify long-term life/parenting goals.
  • Sift through the overwhelming amount of information on the web, pointing you to content that is relevant to your needs at the moment.
  • Plan out your homeschool year.
  • Find resources.
  • Establish routines and schedules that work for your family.

What’s working? What’s not? How can we bridge that gap?

We know that what works for one child often backfires with another; I can help you through those inevitable struggles! What does middle school or high school at home look like (what should or could look like)? Do you need a change of pace or a sabbatical?

Talking with an objective “outsider” can help bring clarity to your needs at this time and coach you through the rough spots.

For those of you going through a homeschooling life transition

What’s next on your journey? Have you always dreamed of starting your own co-op, tutorial, or umbrella? Take some time out to reflect and build on your ideas.
